The Douglas Forest Protective Association (DFPA) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Roseburg District have announced that the 2024 fire season will officially begin Friday, June 14th at 12:01 AM. All private, county, state, and Bureau of Indian Affairs(BIA) land within the Douglas District and Roseburg District BLM are included in the fire season declaration. On private, county, state, and BIA lands, certain fire restrictions are imposed to help prevent wildfires. A public meeting of the Budget Committee of Douglas County Fire District No. 2, to discuss the budget for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2025 will be held at 522 SE Washington Ave, Roseburg.  The meeting will take place on the 14th of May, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.  The purpose of this meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget.  A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained after May 7th, 2024 at Douglas County Fire District No. 2 Headquarters, 250 SE Main St,
