The Technical Rescue Team of Central Douglas Fire & Rescue is a highly trained group. They are here to assist in various emergencies and provide efficient rescue services. Our team of 12 career personnel undergo comprehensive training as rescue technicians in various situations, specializing in three key areas:
Rope Rescue
Swift Water Rescue
Heavy Rescue
Equipped with state-of-the-art rescue gear and a range of apparatus, we can respond promptly during light rescue emergencies involving rope and swift water in Central Douglas County. Our water rescue equipment includes a cataraft, a paddle raft, and a motorized rescue boat.
Emergency Response to Outside Areas
Partnerships & Collaboration
Thanks to our partnership with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office through an automatic aid agreement, we can respond to emergencies outside the boundaries of Central Douglas County to cover the entire county.
Our highly skilled rescue technicians work around the clock to ensure your safety with 24/7 availability. They not only provide essential rescue services but also train other firefighters in technical rescue skills, strengthening safety within the community.
