The Douglas Forest Protective Association (DFPA) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Roseburg District have announced that the 2025 fire season will officially begin at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, June 6th. All private, county, state, and Bureau of Indian Affairs(BIA) land within the Douglas District and Roseburg District BLM are included in the fire season declaration. On private, county, state, and BIA lands, certain fire restrictions are imposed to help prevent wildfires. Pursuant to Central Douglas Fire & Rescue, Douglas County Fire District No. 2, and Winston Dillard Fire District (collectively, Districts) Public Contracting Rule (Districts Rule) E-17, governing personal service procurements, Districts will receive sealed proposals until no later than 3:00 p.m. on May 29, 2025, with opening at 4:00 p.m., at Central Douglas Fire & Rescue Headquarters, 250 SE Main Street, Winston, Oregon to provide: Municipal Audit Services, beginning for Fiscal Year 2024/2025, and continuing for a term of up to five years. A public meeting of the Budget Committee of Douglas County Fire District No. 2, to discuss the budget for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2025 will be held at 522 SE Washington Ave, Roseburg.  The meeting will take place on the 14th of May, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.  The purpose of this meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget.  A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained after May 7th, 2024 at Douglas County Fire District No. 2 Headquarters, 250 SE Main St,
